Un Ecossais répondant au nom de David Ferrier se promenait dans la baie de Kilnaughton, à Islay, en Ecosse, quand ses deux chiens, Morgan et Riley, ont entendu le bruit causé par un banc d’environ quinze dauphins au large. Intrigués pendant quelques minutes, ils ont fini par plonger pour les rejoindre.

Au même moment, un petit groupe de trois ou quatre dauphins ont quitté leurs congénères pour se rapprocher de la berge.
